NBC News has signed to be the headline sponsor of the first NYC Drone Film Festival, and event to celebrate UAV cinematography
On March 7th at Directors Guild of America Theater in New York industry professionals will see a selection of feature films five minutes or less that were all shot using drones.
Randy Scott Slavin who is the festival founder has said he would like to change the perception of drones, he went on to say
“I’m tired of drones being synonymous with questionable legality and FAA regulation. I want to celebrate the art of aerial cinematography,”
Drones are fast becoming the must choice of filming equipment, while shooting stunning aerial footage it saves expense and time.
